Congratulation to the Boys Volleyball team which defeated St Joes 3-2 with their second straight come from behind victory. The eagles are now 4-1 on the season. They were lead by Damian Raptopoulos, Joe DeFusco and Maverick Grillo.

Congratulations to the Trumbull softball defeated which Darien to improve to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the FCIAC. Emily Gell struck out 6 in 4 innings.  Mackenzie Bruggeman closed out the 5th with two strikeouts while also collecting 3 hits including 2 doubles and 3 RBI's.  Julia Huzi had three hits including a double and 3 rbis. Cassi Barbato hit a RBI double.  The softball team travels to Ridgefield for another FCIAC showdown this Friday.

Congratulations to the G. Varsity Lacrosse team which beat McMahon 16-11and to the B. Outdoor Track team which beat both Staples and Ridgefield in their season home opener.

Congratulations to the freshmen girls lacrosse team on kicking off their season with a 3-0 record. The girls dominated in their season opener against Amity with a shut out and multiple girls scoring across the board (Payton Corsi, Emma Dubreuil, Alessia Lye, Lindsay Bull, and Sam Crosby). Lyndsay Guzzetta and Kimberly Gammaro crushed it on the defensive end totaling 9 ground balls! The Eagles return to action against Darien on Monday, April 22nd @ Home to continue their success!

V. Baseball beat Stamford 5-4.

           T-Andrew Harvey, Bryan Kraus (4, W 1-0) and Kevin Bruggeman

           S- Matt Tiplady, Harry Gatto (L 0-1) and Armando Gonzalez

           T- Tim Lojko had 2 hits. Kevin Bruggeman had the go ahead RBI single in the top of the 6th.

           Kraus struck out 8.

           S- Calvin McKeever had three hits, including a double.

 

Boys V. Golf beat Trinity 172-243.

            Mike Cerulli led the team with a 41.

            

Girls Outdoor Track beat Staples but lost to Ridgefield in their season opener.

          Several FCIAC and State Qualifiers come out of the meet.  Congratulations to Abby Michel, Molli Lewis, Evelyn Marchand,                Carolyn Cardell, Maggie LoSchiavo, Ally Zaffina, Kali Holden, Grace Lesko, Megan Becker, Mikayla DePina, Natalie Onofreo,              Hannah Holgerson, De'ja Dalahuddin, Sidnie Bogle, Emily Alexandru, Aleks Misiewicz, Jaime Tolk, Olivia Kennedy, Jeah                  Riodin, Elena Mihaly, Mya Ridley, and Hailey Angelucci for qualifying for FCIACs. 

         State qualifiers were: Abby Michel, Evelyn Marchand, Carolyn Cardell, Ally Zaffina, Maggie LoSchiavo, Kali Holden, Emily                  Alexandru, Aleks Misiewicz, Elena Mihaly, Jeah Riodin, Molli Lewis, Olivia Kennedy, Mya Ridley, and Hailey Angelucci

         Emily Alexandru also set a new THS Girls Outdoor school record with a time of 45.35 in the 300 meter hurdles, beating the              2001 record of 45.51 set by Sara Bochet.  Congrats to Emily!

 

V. Softball beat Stamford 5-0 to advance to 4-0.

             Highlights: T: Cassi Barbato hit a two run double in the second, Jenna Duffy had two hits and an RBI.  Emily Gell                 hit a double and struck out 5.  

 

Boys Tennis  won 6-1 over Brien McMahon.

           At # 1 singles Andy won, improving his personal record to 3-0 so far this season.

           Nihal Wadwa won at # 2 singles, Mathew Nusom won at #3 singles, and Adithya Prabakaran won at #4 singles.

           Max Hutchins and Avyay Menon won at # 2 doubles. Tej Yalamanchili and Elliott Bello won at # 3 doubles.

 

G. Tennis beat Brein McMahon 6-1.

B. Varsity Volleyball beat Danbury 3-2.

             The Trumbull Boys Volleyball team  (3-1, 3-0 FCIAC) defeated the Danbury Hatters (3-2, 1-1 FCIAC) 3-2 in a five               set, come from behind thriller! Danbury won the first two games before Trumbull came back to win the next 3. The               scores were 18-25, 17-25, 25-22, 25-20 and 15-9.

 

             Trumbull was lead by:

             Senior Captain Maverick Grillo with 13 kills and 17 digs

             Junior Joe DeFusco with 14 kills and 15 digs

              Senior Damian Raptopoulos with 25 assists, 7 digs and 2 aces

              Senior Dylan Palinkas with 9 kills and 6 blocks

              Sophomore Hank Carlson with 15 digs, 3 aces and 15 service points

 

              Danbury was lead by:

              Kayque Jorge with 22 kills, 14 digs and 2 aces

              Matt Curra with 10 kills, 2 blocks and 6 digs

              Edgard Neto with 40 assists, 12 digs and 3 aces

              Records: Trumbull 2-2 McMahon 0-3

Congratulations to the Boys Varsity Lacrosse team which beat St. Joe's 12-11 in overtime.  The team had some great individual performances by Kyle Atherton, Aidan Clark, Juluin Kammerman and Zach Walsh who scored the game winning goal.
